Be careful who you let borrow...

So I have this friend who I will call T.B. and a few months ago I let her borrow my Sex & the City DVDs. (Just so you know, I have all the seasons...I LOVE the show!Well the DVDs come in this colored plastic cover with the season's pictures on it.

I didn't mind so much that T.B. had the DVDs for what seemed like forever (actually like 3 or 4 months), but I wanted to watch some of the episodes. I called her and asked her to bring them to my job. She agreed and the first thing that put me off was that she called Outback, asked me to come outside and get them from her. I mean it was raining like crazy outside,(and she did not want to get wet....I thought I was the one at work and needed to stay dry...) but whatever, I went and got them.

I ran back inside and I soon I was about to put them in my purse, I realized that Season 2's case was in 3 pieces!! I AM LIVID at this point. Not only am I drenched from the rain, but this chick broke my most fabulous DVD case!! I called her from my work line and asked her what happened to the DVD case. So T.B. says "I don't know what you're talking about. I didn't notice it being broken when I just handed it to you." She said she'd noticed the case was pretty much falling apart when I let her borrow them.

(For the record, I am very picky about my belongings and when I let her borrow them, they were pretty much new. I had only owned all of them for maybe a month. I've known her for a long time so I wasn't worried about letting her take them. Boy, was I wrong!) I told her it was impossible that it was falling about when she got it because they were new. Then T.B. got all attitude-ish with me and by this point I am ready to jump through the phone.

I always thought that when you borrow something from a person, you give it back in the same condition it was given to you. I mean, is that so much to ask!??! I know to NEVER let T.B. borrow anything again...
