Happy Halloween! I like Halloween for the simple fact that today is the only day someone could get away with looking like an idiot or skanky. Now I don't mean skanky like nasty, but skanky like you want to be sexy but would never wear that outfit in public. I am going to be a sexy correctional officer this year. It's hot! I have to work tonight but we're all dressing up so it should be fun. After work, I plan on hitting a huge keg party. I'm sure there will be stories for me to tell later. Well it's time for Theory & Research class...oh joy!

Back from Miami

(*Edited with pics...finally!)

I'm back!

(By the way, I have tried to post this post so many times from my computer but my internet connection is being really annoying...more on that later!)

So my trip to Miami was a bust! Wilma ruined it all! I arrived Thursday afternoon to find out Thursday night that the PRSSA conference was cancelled. Oh I was livid! I had flown all the way down there to find that out! C'mon people, you are PR professionals! Let's get your crisis communication together!

I ended up getting an early flight Saturday morning back to North Carolina. This situation pissed me off even more. The airline charged me $150 to change my flight. I explained to them it was because of the hurricane...of course, they didn't care. They just want to take all my money. I hate my friend for suggesting AirTran. I KNEW I should have stuck with United like I always do!

So in the meantime before Saturday, my friends and I decided to party it up. Thursday night we went to Lincoln Road and ate at a wondeful Italian restaurant. It was delicious! Very expensive too. We drank Bellini's (my fav drink!) and sat outside in the huge patio area. Around us were stores and cute little shops. After dinner, we hit up a cigar parlor where this woman was singing. She was great too. I had ONE drink there and that sucker cost me $11. I could buy 2-3 drinks in NC with that!! We called Thursday an early night.

(Drinking our Bellini's...Yum)

(Dinner at the Italian restaurant...yuck, I look like I am with child in this pic...which I am definitely not!)

Friday night we went all out. We dressed up and decided to hit some of the clubs. First, we went to Crobar. Crobar was serving free champagne and everyone was in free all until 12 a.m. It was nice. They also had gogo dancers dressed in these outfits.(I have a pic that I will post once I am able to get on my laptop.) My friend Jess met some porn stars at the bar, but too bad they were not cute at all. One was a white guy with dreads and his jeans were hanging off of him. We could see his crack because of course he had no underwear on. What I also did not get was that the jeans were tight... (gogo dancer at Crobar)

A little into the night, Jess started talking to these 3 guys. They were celebrating a birthday. They invited us to come and drink with them in their VIP room. We ended up going through 4 bottles of Grey Goose. Yeah, we were pretty drunk by this point. We didn't want to stay all night at Crobar, so we then headed over to Mansion.

(VIP party at Crobar)

(Drunkeness at Mansion)

Mansion was by far the nicest club. The place was packed! There was a live DJ (can't remember his name, but I remember hearing of him before) and gogo dancers. There was a $20 cover (which this is unheard of in NC). They had these mafia-like bouncers that pretty much told you where you could and could not go. You had to be VIP to even dance on the actual dance floor. Of course, we were not, so we danced on the outskirts of the dance floor. It was still fun, UNTIL my friend Jess was so beligerent she pissed us off. She was so drunk she started falling over and knocking things down. She was grinding on every guy she saw. It was ridiculous. It was a definite buzz killer when the mafia-like bouncers were ready to kick her out.

We ended up having to babysit her for the rest of the night. We tried to make her drink water and sit down, but she'd end up finding a way to escape and get a guy to buy her another drink. I finally got so fed up and screamed at her to calm her ass down. I was not having fun at this point. We finally all decided to go home (it was around 3:30 a.m.) and go to bed since we had to be up at 5 a.m. We were suppose to be at the airport at 6 a.m.

That was the recap of the whole trip. I have pics that I will post as soon as I get on my own computer. Well it's time to go to class or I'll be late! Later!

South Beach Miami, Here I Come!

Tomorrow morning I am leaving for the wonderful South Beach Miami. I am sooo excited!!! Hopefully that bitch Wilma won't mess things up for us! I will definitely post pictures when I get back next week!

What to Be for Halloween

So Halloween is next weekend and ECU always has the biggest party for the holiday. I went to ECU for 3 years and always LOVED the celebration. It just gave us another excuse to be beligerent in public with a costume on.

Since I transferred to UNC-Pembroke last year, I haven't been back to ECU for Halloween. I am planning on going this year! But now my problem is...what to be? Previous years I was a cat, witch, and a sexy gangster with fellow sorority sisters.

Anyone have ideas?

Damn Hurricanes!

So I am supposed to be leaving for South Beach Miami Thursday for a PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America...I know I sound like a dork) Conference. But thanks to Hurricane Wilma, I don't know if I am still going! They are tracking the storm and seeing what is going to happen. If it looks bad, they will cancel the whole thing!

What is it with all these freakin hurricanes?!!? Why do they have to be such bitches and ruin everything!?!? I have been looking forward to this trip since March!!! I am going to be sooo pissed (and disappointed) if it is cancelled.

I am on a job search and this conference is suppose to help get our foots in the door. They are having representatives and speakers from big time PR firms such as Hill & Knowlton! I NEED A (REAL) JOB!

Hopefully everything will work out and the trip will be fine!

AIM Stalker

I guess Facebook is the "new" place to pick up women...(end sarcastic voice here.)

So this guy who goes to my school keeps stalking me. He got my AIM screenname off of Facebook and has been instant messaging me ever since. He leaves messages like "You're so hot" "Let's meet" "Damn girl you are beautiful" "Hit me up".

Okay this is totally weird! Who does that?!?! I looked him up to check and see if maybe I know him and he's joking with me. Definitely have never seen this kid in my life! And to top it all, off he is BUSTED! No wonder why he resorts to Facebook to pick up women!

I have obviously been ignoring him and hopefully I will never run into him on campus.

Dinner with HotBoston

Dinner last night with HotBoston was wonderful! We had chicken wraps, rice, and mac & cheese. It wasn't anything special but it was the whole thought that counted. He confessed to me that all he knew how to cook was chicken, and that he still had to ask his friends for some help. I was so impressed though. He worked so hard to make it great and it was. I totally appreciated it!

Afterwards, I helped him clean up and we watched Dodgeball. Gotta love Vince Vaughn. The night ended after the movie since HotBoston had a midterm exam at 8 a.m. He walks me to my car and we talk a little outside. Just before I get inside my car, he gives me the goodnight kiss. It was AMAZING! Soft, gentle, and sweet.

On my way home, he sends me a text and tells me again what a great time he had. All in all, it was the most perfect night with the nicest guy!

Dinner Date

HotBoston is leaving tomorrow for PA for fall break. So last night he asked me to come over tonight for a dinner date. He is going to cook and we'll probably watch a movie. I am sooo excited seeing as how I have NEVER had a guy cook for me! (Yes...Ex-Boyfriend slacked!)

I am a little bummed that I won't being seeing HotBoston for almost 2 weeks. We've been hanging out a lot these past few weeks. I am just so used to having him there. When he gets back from PA, I will be in Miami for a conference. Oh well, when I get back I'm sure we'll make up for lost time. =) I will post later on how the dinner date went!

Case of the Ex

So I know I have been M.I.A....I apologize. This semester has just been crazy! Anyway, so after the encounter with the Ex (see previous post), I didn't hear from or see him for 2 weeks. Then this past Saturday night, he shows up at my job with a dozen red roses and a card. He tells me he is already late meeting his parents for dinner but that he hoped to talk to me the next day. I was totally caught off guard. All my coworkers were telling me how sweet it was and was swooning over the flowers.

I find out from my mom that night he talked to her on the phone for almost an hour. He told her he would do anything to get me back and that he messed up, can't live without me, feels incomplete, blah blah, etc. I don't know what to think of the whole thing. He should have done with from the beginning. I broke up with him a month ago (which isn't too long ago, but still.) Better yet, he should have fixed everything from the beginning so it would have never lead to the break up!

That Saturday night, I meet up with HotBoston after my ladies night with the girls. He knows about the flowers and the desperate attempt Ex-Boyfriend is doing to get me back. It doesn't bother him at all...which is fine, we're not "together" anyway. We're just "hanging out."

Yesterday I talked to Ex-Boyfriend and told him I didn't know if I wanted to get back together. I let him know how much happier I have been since the breakup. (Harsh..I know.) I told him if anything we would be friends and he would have to prove to me he has made some changes before I even consider taking him back. And if I don't feel there is anything there left to save, then I'm out. Simple as that.

By the way, as we were talking he had the nerve to tell me he would be making $80,000 a year starting next month. Okay that is great! I am happy for him. But then he said "If we get back together, I can start taking care of you." Ummm....I can take care of myself thank you! I know he was just trying to be sweet but I am not a gold digger. Him making that money is not going to make me want him more! Unless we were married, I am not expecting any "support" from him.

Well that is all for now, folks! I'm sure I will have more stories on the Ex soon...
