Words of a Twenty-Something

I just had one of the best weekends in a long time! HotBoston and I took advantage of the holiday weekend. We wined and dined, rented a movie, and just enjoyed each other's company. HotBoston also took me golfing for the first time. I always thought golf was one of the most boring sports ever, but it was actually pretty fun. I didn't even know how to "properly" hold the clubs, so HotBoston had to "show" me how to do it. Very sexy! He also made me french toast for breakfast (one of my favs) and made me feel like a total princess. I just love that new relationship feeling! It's so refreshing.

And to answer some questions that were brought up in my previous post, I no longer am stressing about the "G" word. HotBoston brought it up on his own. He casually threw the word out there, in front of me, to his buddies. I guess that settles that.'s the second week into the LAST semester of my college career. I am very excited about this semester's line up. I am most excited about my Public Relations Campaigns class. We're taking on the local Boys & Girls Club as our client and coming up with a whole campaign for them. I'm also crossing my fingers on a possible internship with the March of Dimes this semester as well. It looks pretty promising, but we'll see.

I can't believe that in a short few months I can going to be let loose into the real world. I am finishing up some last minute touches on my resume and sending them out to agencies within the next week. It's all so scary and exciting at the same time!

Speaking of scary, I have TONS of work to start on so I must get to it!

What's with the G word?

HotBoston and I are still seeing each other. The more and more we're together, the more "serious" everything gets. We still have not made it "official" by giving each other titles, but it is safe to say we are exclusive. We are so perfect together. We compliment each other so well. I have never been the kind of girl to look for a younger guy, but I think I hit the jackpot here. He is much more mature than ExBoyfriend and the Ex has 6 years on HotBoston.

One thing I don't get about HotBoston is that we pretty much each other's significant other, but he hates the mention of girlfriends. A lot of his buddies have serious girlfriends and HotBoston always makes a smart comment about how he hates girlfriends. When we first started hanging out, I made it a point to tell HotBoston I wasn't looking for another boyfriend because I had just ended my relationship with the Ex. He also mentioned that he wasn't looking for a girlfriend either. But now that we are together more and more and we have taken everything to another level, it kind of bothers me that he makes those comments about girlfriends. I don't want to bring it up and complicate everything, but I just wonder if he says it to get a reaction out of me or if he really thinks that way.

Sometimes I think he is just trying to get a reaction out of me. I don't want to bring up the subject of our "titles" because maybe I feel like he'll back away from us. I mean does it need to be discussed? Or should I just leave it alone and just go with the flow like I have been?

What's a girl to do?

Coming Back to Life

I remember the day I found out what the hell blogs were. One of my sorority sisters started her own and kept encouraging me to take a look. I finally did and I was fascinated with it. That famous blog happens to be The Butterfly Network. I started reading all the witty and fun posts the girls came up with and I eventually started Carolina Girl. When I first started posting, I was so excited that sometimes I would post multiple times in a day. As the months flew by, I started posting less and less. I guess the blog was kind of like a new toy. You play with it so much at first because your so excited. After a while, the thrill is gone and you don't play with it as much. One of my New Year's resolutions was to get back into posting more. So here is to Carolina Girl coming back to life!
