It's Official!

HotBoston and I are officially together! The other night he sat me down and had "the talk" with me. He told me that when we first started seeing each other, he did not want a serious relationship. The more and more we hung out, he realized that I was someone "special" and he couldn't pass something great up. I melted. It was probably one of the best nights of my life.

So now I am planning something special for him for Valentine's Day. He has always hated the holiday and I want this one to be one he'll never forget. I plan on doing something small and romantic. His favorite food is pizza, so I am actually going to make him a homemade pizza and write something cute with the toppings. His fav beer is Corona, so I plan to stock his fridge and set his apartment with candles. I want to do something else but I am having a hard time thinking of something else. Anyone have any suggestions?

I also just had my meeting with the March of Dimes. I snagged a really good internship with them for the semester so I am extremely happy about that. I will pretty much be planning and executing WalkAmerica which is held in May. I am definitely going to be a busy girl. On top of that, my PR Campaigns class has taken on the Boys & Girls Club as our client. That's something I look forward to as well.

So I have just finished tweeking up my resume, which by the way was hard to keep to one page. This week I am going to start sending them out & hoepfully something good will bite. It's starting to sink in more and more that I am going to be out on my own. My college career has been a four year party and it's almost last call!

For Valentine's Day? Porn and a BJ. Haha.

Oh, I don't know what field you are in, but the 1 page resume thing is usually a myth for most fields. I used to be an IT recruiter, and the longer the resume, the better. However, if it is more than a page long, it needs to be very presentable and organized. Paragraph writing is not good. Sumarized bullet statements are the best. I tell you HR and Recruiters hardly ever READ the entire thing. Skimming is what is done initially. If skimming leads to them finding something relevant to the job, then they will read it.

    Thanks CGC!

As far as the resume, I am in public relations and ALL my professors say that employers like 1 page resumes. It's so hard for me because I have done so much just to keep it to one page. Thanks for the advice!
